Nutrient digestibility in broiler chickens fed diets containing high levels of soybean oil is affected by the source of fiber

چکیده

This study evaluated the effects of including soluble and insoluble dietary fiber sources in soybean oil-containing diet for broiler chickens on coefficient apparent ileal digestibility (AID) amino acids, retention (AR) nutrients, nitrogen-corrected metabolizable energy (AMEn). A total 180 broilers were divided into 30 groups fed 3 diets from day 14 to 21 age. The corn–soybean meal containing 6.8% oil without or with hulls (SBH) sugar beet pulp (SBP) at 8.0% as fiber, respectively. SBH SBP contained 6.0% 14.7% 60.5% 37.0% AID indispensable acids was decreased ( P < 0.05) due inclusion SBH, but not SBP. Dietary reduced AR gross (by 14% 8%, respectively) AMEn 20% 14%, respectively). Overall, a meal-based that contains high level might improve nutrient digestibility. However, has less detrimental than SBH.

Effects of fiber source on apparent digestibility and ruminal fermentation parameters in sheep fed high-concentrate diets

Sixteen rams (mean age: 13 mo; mean live weight: 40.0 ± 2.4 kg) were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments in a completely randomized design (4 rams per treatment). Diets (dry matter basis) contained 65% concentrate and 35% alfalfa hay (control diet, T1), 35% wheat straw (T2), 35% barley straw (T3) or 35% maize straw (T4). Total-tract apparent digestibility for dry matter, organic matter...

Apparent and standardized ileal nutrient digestibility of broiler diets containing varying levels of raw full-fat soybean and microbial protease

BACKGROUND Although soybean meal (SBM) is excellent source of protein in diets for poultry, it is sometimes inaccessible, costly and fluctuates in supply. The SBM can partially be replaced by full-fat SBM, but the meals prepared from raw full-fat soybean contain antinutritional factors. To avoid the risk of antinutritional factors, heat treatment is always advisable, but either excessive or und...

Effect of thymol and carvacrol on nutrient digestibility in rams fed high or low concentrate diets

Published data on the effects of essential oils (EO) on in vivo nutrient digestibility in sheep are contradictory. In 2 experiments, the effect of thymol and carvacrol on nutrient digestibility was studied in sheep fed with high (70%) or low (52%) concentrate diets, using incomplete Latin Square designs. The essential oils were mixed with the concentrate portion of the diet at the rate of 0.0, ...

Serum Biochemical Profile of Broiler Chickens Fed Diets Containing Rosemary and Rosemary Volatile Oil

The study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary supplementation rosemary aromatic plant, rosemary volatile oil and α-tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E) on serum variables of broilers fed on maize-soybean meal based diets. Eight hundred 1-d-old Ross-308 male chickens were weighed and randomly divided into 1 control and 7 experimental groups each with 10 replicates of 10 birds. There were...

Growth Performance, Carcass Characteristics and Intestinal Microflora of Broiler Chickens Fed Diets Containing Carum copticum Essential Oil

We evaluated the effects of dietary Carum copticum essential oil (CCEO) on growth performance, carcass characteristics and intestinal microflora of broiler chickens. A total of 240 Cobb broiler chickens were allocated to five dietary treatments, each with four replicates of 12 birds. Dietary treatments were prepared by formulating a corn-soybean meal-based diet free of antibiotics (Control) and...
